Villa Creek Winery

Since 2001, Cris and JoAnn Cherry have been driven by exploration of the unique microclimates of west Paso Robles. Villa Creek wines are rich in fruit, flavor and dimension. They tell the story of each vintage from the perspective of west Paso Robles vineyard sources; their own MAHA Estate Vineyard, James Berry Vineyard, Luna Matta Vineyard and Denner Vineyard.

Four flagship red wines are produced annually which include Garnacha (100% Grenache) Willow Creek Cuvée (a Grenache based blend), Avenger (a Syrah based blend) and High Road which showcases the best of the vintage from James Berry Vineyard. A flagship white blend of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne rounds out the line-up. If a vintage allows, special cuvées and vineyard specific wines find their way into bottle.

The Cherrys’ certified organic and certified biodynamic vineyard, the MAHA Estate, was planted in 2012. Limestone and siliceous shale soils are the perfect foundation for growing premium Rhone varieties like Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Syrah, Carignan and Clairette. Dorper sheep graze the vineyard during the dormant months fertilizing as they go. The inaugural MAHA Estate release is coming soon only to elite allocation list members.
